Varanasi is widely known as the city of Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Shiva resides here in his sacred form, which is why Varanasi is often referred to as the “City of Salvation.” Devotees from across India and around the world visit this holy city with the hope of spiritual fulfillment and liberation.

A large number of visitors also come from the southern states of India, especially Telugu-speaking devotees. Every year, thousands travel to Varanasi for pilgrimage and दर्शन.

However, many visitors from Andhra Pradesh face language difficulties during their stay. Since they may not be familiar with Hindi, communication can become challenging, leading to inconvenience while interacting with local residents or arranging services.

To support these devotees, several Andhra ashrams have been established in Varanasi. These ashrams offer comfortable accommodation and familiar Telugu-style meals, helping visitors feel at home while they focus on their spiritual journey.
